Learn About Mobile’s Local Garden Center!

Tony began his career in the landscape industry in the 1980s.  Tony served clients in the Mobile, Alabama area providing landscape designs and installation, irrigation designs and installation, maintenance, hardscaping, and drainage management.   After beautifying many residential and commercial locations throughout the Mobile area, he decided to open A Bloom Garden Center in 2008.  Upon the 15th anniversary of A Bloom Garden Center, Tony opted to focus all his attention there, leaving landscape installation and maintenance to others.  He offers referrals to qualified local landscapers and maintenance professionals. He holds a great relationship with local growers and suppliers as well.  He visits many local growers to hand select the best plant material he can find and offer to his garden center customers.  Tony can be spotted around the garden center helping customers with plant selection and consultations, serving as a parking attendant, and operating the tractor to load customers with their bulk purchases.  He can also be found from time to time keeping employees on their toes.  A Bloom Garden Center is a major part of Tony’s day to day; his employees are like family.

Tony’s hobbies and pastimes include fishing, enjoying local cuisine, car shows, and spending time with his family.

Beth’s passion for gardening and career started as a hobby and volunteering at a small nursery.  She later became employed potting and growing plants, then eventually helping with small designs and installing landscapes.  In 2008, she found herself looking for more and happened upon a help-wanted ad in the newspaper for a local garden center start-up.  She was hired as manager at A Bloom Garden Center in February of 2008. Since being at A Bloom, she completed the Master Gardener class in 2010 and received completion certificates from a series of 3 landscape design classes including fundamentals, color graphics, and creating the ultimate landscape design.  Her talents have helped A Bloom win awards at the Festival of Flowers on more than one occasion.  Beth manages the garden center office, employees, merchandising, marketing, and inventory.  She enjoys helping customers with their gardening questions and design dilemmas.  She finds educating customers in a way that encourages success in their own gardens and landscapes to be rewarding.  She continually strives to positively enable a successful work team and provide customers with great shopping and gardening experiences.

Beth’s hobbies and pastimes include gardening, houseplants, paper crafting, and spending time with family.
