Perfect Place to Plan the Perfect Garden

We offer free in-store consultations to help you design and plan the perfect flowerbed for your landscape.  

 

During your appointment, one of our qualified staff members will observe your pictures, measurements, soil condition, and ask questions regarding sunlight and your personal style and maintenance preferences. We will walk around the garden center and show you a selection of plants we recommend and provide you with a simple sketch if needed and a quote for the plants, soil, mulch, etc.

 

We are happy to provide this service for free with the hopes that you will purchase your plants from us.

1) Set up a free appointment.  (Please note free consultations are sometimes interrupted by daily garden center activities.)

2) Take some pictures. 

3) Take measurements of your existing flowerbed space, structures, sidewalk, porch, & window height.

3) Observe sunlight hours in the area.

4) Gather a small (1 cup) soil sample to bring.

In-store consultations are free of charge, but do require an appointment. Using the button below, please select three date/time slots that work for you, and one of our staff members will get back to you shortly to confirm a date/time slot.  We look forward to seeing you. 

In-home consultations are charged at a rate of $150.00/ hour with one - hour minimum charge. Depending on location, there may be an additional charge if you are located outside of our regular service area and this will be determined by your consultant prior to the meeting.  Please call us to schedule an in-home consultation.

We will come out to your home and guide you in making decisions for your gardens and landscape. Your consultant can walk around with you and answer any questions or concerns you have.

Identify plant related health problems and offer solutions for treatment or other recommendations as needed. Sometimes pest / disease / environment problems are not readily recognized; in these cases, we will take samples to send to the Alabama Cooperative Extension office or Auburn University Research for Analysis. 

Offer pruning recommendations as far as how and timing for specific plants.

This is our minimum package.

Your consultant can create a basic drawing for your area. 

Longer consultation times and larger projects will require additional costs.  

Your design consultant would negotiate that cost and provide you with a time frame for completion.
